  • Bhavesh Patel

    [ President ]

    A traveler, food enthusiast, sports lover, and Director (Software Engineering) by occupation – taught by his parents - Bhavesh believes in Bhagavad Gita’s Verse – “Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana”. Bhavesh serves as a volunteer for various organizations in the Pittsburgh area. Being an active GSOGP member since 2008, Bhavesh joined the GSOGP committee in 2019 and has since served relentlessly to the community. Bhavesh likes to accept and solve challenges with the best possible solution, whether work-related, samaj-related, or something else. Bhavesh believes in connecting the younger generation with their roots and culture by utilizing GSOGP as a great platform.

    Having been a member of GSOGP since 2007, I am honored to be a part of the GSOGP committee again and hope to further contribute to the betterment of our proud Gujarati Samaj. I believe working together with everyone’s support and through various cultural and sporting events we can grow the GSOGP community even stronger. When not working on my business responsibilities, I love to play sports, travel, and spend time with family and friends.

  • Nihar Sheth

    [ Secretary ]

    By profession, Nihar is a software engineer. Before moving to Pittsburgh, Nihar studied at Cleveland State University. Originally from Ahmedabad, Nihar came close to GSOGP activities in 2018 Navaratri and had interests to serve the Gujarati community. Apart from this, Nihar is also active with cricket in the Pittsburgh area. In his free time, Nihar likes to read books, explore new places, food, culture, and hiking.

    Hi there, my name is Manali Patel and I'm a resident of Upper St. Clair. I'm proud to say that I've been a member of GSOGP for over 15 years now and have been serving as the treasurer for the past 2 years. It's been a great experience helping the organization and the surrounding community. With my 5-year experience in the banking industry, I've gained a lot of knowledge about financial planning and management. When I'm not busy working, I enjoy gardening, listening to music, cooking, Reading, and socializing with friends and family. As the GSOGP’s treasurer, I ensure we have financial stability and well-planned financial decisions. I handle budgeting, reporting, and monitoring decisions such as where or when to hold an event.

    Voyager, wanderlust, Writer, Book lover, Music Lover. By Education Engineer, By Profession- Self-employed, and By Passion – Writer Vishal served as a President of the Jain Society of Pittsburgh from 2018-2020 and volunteered for a few years. "The goal isn't to live forever; the goal is to create something that will ". To live by this quote Vishal loves to write Poetry, Shayri, and Inspirational thoughts to always live in people's hearts. "જો થાય મારા થી કોઈ ભૂલ તો ક્ષમા માંગુ છુ". "2024 માં ગુજરાતી સમાજ ની બધીજ events, successful and sold out થાય એ માટે આપ સૌનો સાથ અને સહકાર માંગુ છુ." I feel honored and very proud to get this opportunity to serve our samaj. Let's make 2024 a remarkable and memorable year.

    Hello everyone, I am Raj Bhuva (Aeronautical Engineer) by profession - Businessman. Before moving to the USA, Raj lived in New Zealand for a few years where he pursued his business degree. Raj has been part of GSOGP since 2016 and has volunteered himself since then in various events. He also volunteered himself in many other communities before and now. Raj loves to spend his free time playing sports, traveling around places, meeting new people, and cooking. Due to my love for sports, I am honored to serve as a sports secretary and would love to grow more sports activities for our samaj.

  • Hiral Shah

    [Youth & Education Secretary ]

    Currently a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, Hiral is pursuing her degree in Health Informatics. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Hiral is a true Pittsburgher at heart. She has been volunteering at various events in and around the Pittsburgh area and has actively participated in GSOGP events alongside her parents. During her time at college, Hiral was a member of the Hindu Student Council Board and The Dhirana Board. Hiral is a passionate dancer, a sports enthusiast, and an avid reader and writer. Always looking to expand her horizons, Hiral looks to grow in every aspect of her life. Personally, in touch with her culture and roots, Hiral hopes to share and preserve the values and traditions of the Indian culture.
